Covers 223.023km2 and is the biggest province of Angola with 9 districts: Camanongue, Léua, Luacano, Luau, Luchazes, Lumbala Nguimbo and Lumege.
Luena is the capital of the province and the annual average temperature is around 21ºC in tropical humid weather.
There are six ethnic groups: Tchokwe, Luvale, Umbundo, Bundos, Luchazes and Lunda Dembo and the most spoken language is Tchokwe. The population relies on agriculture. In the region, we can find medical honey taken from flowers of special trees such as Mussixi and Muvuca.
The nature is characterized by famous east vegetations, serving as habitat, where animals like antelopes (palancas), gnus, lions, leopard, hyenas, buffalos, songues, wild boar, foxes, elephants, gazelle, cattle, goat and rhinoceros live.
